The Respirex Testing Laboratory is UKAS accredited to carry out chemical permeation testing to European, International and American standards.

These standards are BS EN 374-3, BS EN ISO 6529:2001 and ASTM F 739-99. If required we can still test to BS EN 369 although this standard has been replaced by the International standard.

The laboratory, based in Redhill, Surrey, has been operating since 1994 and was accredited in 1996. We provide a completely confidential, independent service to our clients who include the manufacturers and users of gloves, chemical protective suit fabrics as well as the manufacturers of various suit components such as boots and visors. The work is carried out as soon as possible and clients are kept informed of progress as the work proceeds.

The laboratory is unique in the UK as we are able to test gases as well as a wide range of liquid chemicals. These chemicals include hydrofluoric acid, hydrogen fluoride gas and the hydrous form of HF.
