a) Type 1a - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with a breathable air supply independent of the ambient atmosphere, e.g. a self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, worn inside the chemical protective suit.

b) Type 1b - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with a breathable air supply, e.g. a self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, worn outside the chemical protective suit.

c) Type 1c - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with a breathable air providing positive pressure, e.g. airlines.

GTB

A reusable Type 1a "gas-tight" Hazmat chemical protection suit covering both the wearer and the breathing apparatus. Supplied with safety gloves and either integral heavy-duty safety boots or integral socks. Suitable for use with all types of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

GTB Fall Arrest Version

This suit is identical to the standard GTB EN943-2 but can also be used with a fall arrest system.

GTVB

Identical to the GTB but with the addition of a fully controllable 3 or 30 litre/minute arm and leg ventilation system.

GTIM

A reusable Type 1b "gas-tight" Hazmat chemical protection suit for working in confined spaces. Suitable for use with any manufacturer’s breathing apparatus (SCBA). Also comes with safety gloves and either integral heavy-duty safety boots or integral socks. The breathing apparatus is worn externally.

GTIM - ET

This version is identical to the standard GTIM but with additional features to comply with EN943-2:2002 and must be worn with the Respirex Protex hood.

Limited Life Gas-Tight Suit

A limited-use Type 1a "gas-tight" Hazmat chemical protection suit covering both the wearer and the breathing apparatus. Supplied with safety gloves and either integral heavy-duty safety boots or integral socks. Suitable for use with all types of self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

GTA

A reusable Type 1c non-emergency "gas-tight" suit with breathing and cooling air supplied by an external airline providing positive pressure (not from a breathing apparatus set). Comes with safety gloves and either integral heavy-duty safety boots or integral socks.

Training Suits

These feature all the characteristics of a fully operational gas tight suit but are "non-gas-tight" and manufactured from heavy-duty PVC. For training purposes only.
