Camflo Unit

The Camflo Unit (Constant Airflow Management) is designed to be worn either externally or internally of the Respirex range of Airprotex Hoods and Airprotex Suits.

The Camflo Unit controls airflow to the breathing zone and to an optional ventilation system across a wide range of pressures. It will deliver between 180 - 250 litres per minute of air to the breathing zone and when connected, between 100 - 160 litres per minute to the cooling/ventilation system.

Product Features

  • The Camflo Unit will operate at pressures between 2.5bar to 10 bar, self adjusting to give a correct flow rate.
  • Lightweight, comfortable, compact and with a high resistance to chemicals the Camflo is easily transferable between Airprotex Suits, Blouses and Hoods.
  • The Camflo is fitted with a 5 micron in-line air filter.
  • An audible low flow warning device is housed inside the Camflo.
  • A small quick release coupling for connecting to an optional ventilation system is located at the base of the Camflo.
  • The Camflo Unit quietly delivers air, below 70dBA.
  • The Camflo conforms to EN 270:1994, prEN943 -1:1997 and EN1073 - 1:1998 when used in conjunction with an Airprotex Suit, Blouse or Hood.
  • The Camflo can be worn in conjunction with a Cooling Vest as a complete system on the wearer.
  • The Cool Vest is available in a full range of sizes.
  • The Camflo umbilical hose can be fitted with a range of different couplings to suit customer requirements.
  • An optional flow test kit is available for checking the Camflo Units airflow delivery.

Important Notes

  • The minimum pressure range is dependent upon the hose lengths and the couplings used.
  • Hose lengths over 30metres and hose lengths used in multiple connections may require a higher minimum pressure to operate the camflo unit.
  • The quality of air flowing into the camflo must conform to the European standard EN12021:1999.
